Offset study
The middle sheet slides out and returns. A three-dimensional expression of the archive mark.
Three stacked folded planes. The middle plane slides toward the viewer, holds its relationship with the stack, and returns. The study is silent.
The fold makes the form.
A flat plane turns upward along one curve. Three copies repeat that gesture, while the middle sheet moves out of alignment. The offset comes from Folio’s archive mark.
The studio scene uses modeled geometry, an oxblood material, and directional lighting. A separate narrow camera keeps the complete structure visible on a smaller screen.
The silent study moves the middle sheet out and back. Playback starts only when requested; pause at any point to inspect its relationship to the other planes.
