The light does the arranging.

Glass holds the highlights. Leaves break the hard shadow. The wooden tripod repeats the vertical lines of the vessels, while a long band of sunlight ties the objects together.

The portrait format keeps the shadow and the tabletop in the same frame. Folio's editorial example uses the photograph as a lead image, with quiet type beside its darker upper edge.
